Mrs. Lono E. Guilfoyle, 77, LaGrange, died Monday, July 9, 2001, in her home. Born February 11, 1924, in Turkey River, Iowa, she was the daughter of Raymond and Hazel Brahm Minger. She married Floyd Albert Guilfoyle on December 13, 1942, in LaGrange. He died June 16, 1990. Mrs. Guilfoyle was a member of the First Baptist Church in LaGrange and the W.M.U. of the church. She had also served as Chairman of the Lewis County O.A.T.S. committee for several years. Survivors include four sons, Charles Guilfoyle and Paul Guilfoyle, both of LaGrange; Gene Guilfoyle, Maywood and Kevin Guilfoyle, Ballwin; three daughters, Hazel Frances Genners, Ottumwa, Iowa; Lonette Mathews, Quincy; and Karen Gard, Burlington, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Irene Mallard, Medford, Ore.; two brothers Earl Minger, Talent, Ore., and Raymond Minger, Brookings, Ore.; 16 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Clarence, Clyde and Alton Minger; and one sister, Irma Johnson. Visitation was Wednesday, July 11, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family present after 6:00 p.m. Funeral services were Thrusday, July 12, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in LaGrange with Rev. Jim Reynolds officiating. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery in LaGrange.
