Anna M. Stevens, daughter of Thomas Stevens and Catherine Kate Shortell Stevens, first married Samuel Nixon in 1885, and they had Minnie [Minnie Nixon Hoyt Glidden 1889-1980], Edward James Nixon, and Grace Nixon Olson. Her second husband was Judson Wickcliffe Himes (married in 1895), and with him she had four more children: Vernon (Vern) Himes, Roy Himes, Hazel Himes, and Velma Himes.
