Madeleine Mary Blaser, 89, of Austin, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Prairie Manor in Blooming Prairie.

Madeleine was born Nov. 11, 1921 in Cazenovia, Wis.. to John and Mary (Weber) Duren. She married Ray Blaser in Stacyville, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1996.

Madeleine was a homemaker and a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church who enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing. She was very family oriented.

Madeleine is survived by her children: Bonnie Blaser, Burnsville; Joyce (Roy) Dessner, Byron; Norman (Marlene) Blaser, Austin; Thomas (Janice) Blaser, Apple Valley; Daniel (Patty) Blaser, Austin; Bradley (Donna) Blaser, Cedar Rapids, IA; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters and six brothers.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary; brothers, Gerald and Joe and son-in-law, Gene Kleber.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Dale Tupper officiating. There will be a 4 p.m. CCW rosary and a 6 p.m. wake service on Friday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
