William Johnson was born in VA. according to a Census records from his daughter Martha. He died sometime after 30 July, 1821 when he last signed his Will in Wilkes Co., GA. His Will was prorated in Sept 1821 so He probably died sometime in Aug. 1821. He married Nancy Hill daughter of Henry Hill and Sarah Cotten-Hill on 14 May, 1793 in Wilkes Co., GA. There is much to say about William in that he was a Justice of the Peace, a High Sheriff and was in the Revolutionary War. ranked Capt. according to his grave stone. He was known as "Col". He and his wife Nancy had 10 Children.
Elizabeth Johnson, Mary Johnson, Susan M. Johnson, William Johnson Jr., John Pope Johnson, Nancy Hill Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Stephen Webster Johnson, Martha Pope Johnson, and Catherine Ann Johnson. William also had an Illegitimate daughter named Betsy who married William Norman, Jr.

On William's grave stone It doesn't match the dates we have for Birth or Death? Not sure what these dates are for?
