Obituary
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Bradley J. Guidry, age 60, who passed away Monday, April 2, 2007 at 6:30 a.m. at Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. Deacon Randy LeBlanc will officiate at the services.

Mr. Guidry was a native and lifelong resident of Scott. He graduated from Judice High School and attended L.S.U. majoring in Criminal Justice. He retired as a Captain with the Lafayette City Police Department. Mr. Guidry had been a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lafayette Lodge #5 and a lifelong member of AQHA. He was an avid horseman and rooster fighter. Tiny was a hardworking, caring person who was loved by many.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Stelly Guidry of Scott; one son, Sean P. Stelly of Scott; two daughters, Ashley Guidry and Stephanie L. Stelly, both of Scott; two grandchildren, Russell LeBlanc and Allie LeBlanc; two brothers, Rayford Guidry and his wife, Diane, of Scott and Wil Guidry and his wife, Lucille, of Lafayette; one brother-in-law, Numa Stelly and his wife, Charlotte, of Sunset; one sister-in-law, Diane Kidder and her husband, Johnny, of Carencro and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Villiar Guidry and the former Iola Trahan.

The Lafayette City Police Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fraternal Order of Police, Lafayette Lodge #5, P.O. Box 1192, Lafayette, LA 70509.

Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave., Carencro was in charge of arrangements.
