Edna P Grulke, age 88 years, 8 months, 29 days of Hawks died Thursday, June 22, 1995, at Tendercare Nursing Home in Rogers City.

The former Edna Claus, daughter of Emil Albert and Caroline Mathilda (Papke) Claus, was born September 24, 1906, in Hawks.

Edna was united in marriage with Henry Grulke, son of Albert A and Augusta F (Schalk) Grulke, on December 18, 1923, at St Michael Lutheran Church in Belknap. Mr. and Mrs. Grulke lived in Alpena for several years and moved to Hawks in the early 1930's from Rogers City. Mrs. Grulke was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hawks and its Ladies Aid Group.

Mrs. Grulke was predeceased by her husband, two grandsons, brothers, Paul and Erhardt Claus, and sisters, Lena Grulke and Gertrude Myers.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 24, 1995, at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev Christopher Rasper officiating. Interment was in the Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery.
