Patrick H. Boland, JR., 63, of 12222 Polktown Road, Bingaman's Trailer Park, died Friday, November 27, 1998, at his home. Born March 7, 1935, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Patrick H., Sr. and Sarah M. Winebrenner Boland.

He attended St. Euphephines Catholic School in Emmitsburg, Md and was a 1953 graduate of Emmitsburg High School and was a cook at Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg for more than 38 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy from December of 1955 to October of 1959 and was a member of Antrim Faith Baptist Church. He was a member of Fairfield AMVETS Post 172, in Fairfield, Pa.

He is survived by his companion of 27 years, Betty Haines, of Emmitsburg; two sisters, Mary Murray of New Kensington, Pa., and Rose Gilland of Greencastle, Pa.; one brother, Joseph Boland of Winter Haven, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Eyler; and one brother, Donald Boland.

Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., in Waynesboro. The Rev. Herbert S. Busick will officiate. Burial will be in Fountaindale Union Cemetery.
