Richard Dewey Hauser was born October 2, 1924 to Fritz and Louise Hauptfleisch in Gause, Texas. Richard received his training as a Morse Code operator, decoder, and radio transmitter at the University of Texas at Austin. He provided four years of service in Signal Corps in the U.S Army during WWII (1942-1946). During his tour he spent time in the CBI Theater (China, Burma and India) serving with the Office of Strategic Service (OSS). Richard received the following awards; the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign with 3 Bronze Stars, the Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII, Victory Ribbon, American Defense, the Good Conduct Medal, the Grand Star of Honor, and the China Memorial Medal from the Chinese Army.
Richard married Lajoy Reagan on September 3, 1949. He was a loving faithful husband to his wife of 61 years and a devoted father to his three children.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sisters Elsie, Helen, Leasie, Hazel, Gertrude, and Myrtle.
Richard was a Master Electrician and owned his business for over 30 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason for 60 years and a Shriner for 48 years. Richard had a great love for life and loved reminiscing about his childhood on the farm where he was born. He had so many wonderful stories he would share with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed talking about his adventures in WWII.

Richard has touched the hearts of many and will be truly missed.
