UNION (RNS) - Danville Herman Wykle, 74, of Union died Saturday in a Hinton hospital after a long illness.

Born Aug. 24, 1896, in Fayette County, he was a son of the late Jack and Millie Hamilton.

He was a retired farmer and state road employee and a member of the Union United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marinda Taylor Wykle; three daughters, Mrs. Irene Parker of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Mrs. Dorothy Allen and Mrs. Mary Dunbar, both of Union; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Hattie Dowdy of Union and Mrs. Dollie Davis of Renick; a son, Harry of Union; a stepson, Elmer Davis of Banesville, Ohio; five brothers, Henry and Claude of Caldwell, Vernie of Lewisburg and Homer and Hobert, both of Sarton; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Burdette of Maryland, Lucy Definbaugh of Caldwell and Mrs. Grace Peacoe of Florida; 23 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Broyles-McGuire Funeral Home Chapel in Union with Rev. Carl Burrows and Rev O.B. Dalton in charge. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery at Union.
