Gladys Mae Golden, 76, died Sunday, June 19, 1988, in Klamath Falls.
She was born in California to James and Dorothy Kneeland.
She married Clifford Golden, a flooring contractor, in 1935 in Klamath Falls.
Mrs. Golden was a life member of the California Scholarship Federation, with three years at Otis Art Institute. A wooden carving of her was exhibited in a San Francisco World's Fair by Otis Art Institute.
She was very active in the PTA. She served in various PTA offices; for two terms she was the president of the Shasta School PTA.
Active in the Republican Party, she held several offices. For six years she was president of Klamath County Republican Women. For many years she was legislative chariwoman for both GOP Women and GOP Central Committee.
She enjoyed family, homemaking, gardening, fishing, hunting, and rock-hounding.
Mrs. Golden was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Linda Golden, Klamath Falls; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Doyle Green, Springfield; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Private cremation was held.
