Mel M. Hoyt
Mel M. Hoyt was born July 12, 1881 in Kansas and passed away June 11, 1958 in Boise, Idaho. He was the son of Murrel Robert and Melvina Hoyt. At the age of 12 he and his family came to Washington, where he spent his early life. In 1907 he was married to Bertha Wright, who survives him.
Other survivors include: One daughter, Mrs. Emma Bruner; two sons, Harvey, Yakima, Dr. Ken Hoyt of Boise, Idaho; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Barnett of Wasco, Ore., Mrs. Maud McEwen of Goldendale and Mrs. Carolyn St. Germain of Vancouver; and one brother, Robert Hoyt of Glenns Ferry, Idaho; and four grandchildren, all of Yakima. One son, Mackie, preceded him in death.
Services were held at Phillips Funeral Home and interment was made at the IOOF Cemetery. Pallbearers were Allen McEwen, Howard Murray, Orin Story, Lewis Murray, C.F. McEwen and Clyde Bruner.
