Meadville. Sept. 22.—Forest L. Beck, aged 35 years, was fatally injured at about 8 o'clock this evening when the automobile which he was driving collided with the rear of an automobile driven bv Clarence Hollabaugh. The accident occurred at the intersection of Main and Poplar streets. Beck sustained a fractured skull, dying a few minutes after the accident. Mr. and Mrs. Beck were driving on Main street and Hollabaugh was going west on Poplar. Beck evidently did not see Hollabaugh as he passed the intersection and ran into the rear of Hollabaugh's machine. Beck's car turned over twice pinning him beneath it. Mrs. Beck was thrown clear and escaped with a few cuts and bruises. Hollabaugh was not injured. Mr. Beck was superintendant of supplies at Page Boiler Works.
