Husband of Emmaline "Emily" (Elkins) Ricketts (1847-1901). Father of seven children. Son of Thomas Ricketts and Lucinda "Lucy" (Taylor) Ricketts. Henry was a private in the Union Army during the Civil War. He enlisted in the 3rd Missouri State Militia Cavalry, Co. I and was transferred to the 7th Missouri State Militia Cavalry, Co. K. Henry had three brothers and seven sisters.
