Leenda went through elementary school at District #17 and attended Lexington High School. Leenda was united in marriage to John S. LiaKos on August 27, 1950, at Lexington. Three sons were blessed to this marriage; Michael, Nick and Norman.
Leenda was a member of St. George Orthodox Church in Kearney as well as St. Helen's Altar Society, she loved her church and was an active member for many years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Oconto, Nebraska. Leenda was first and foremost a wife and mother, but helped John in their store, the M&L Department Store for many years.
Leenda enjoyed doing puzzles, but her greatest love in life was her family. She attended all of her boys' activities when they were in school. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a warm and caring personality. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking Lebanese food. She will be very missed.
Survivors are: husband of 60 years: John LiaKos of Oconto, Nebraska; sons: Michael & Darlene LiaKos of Minden, Nebraska; Nick & Jane LiaKos of Lawrence, Kansas; Norman & Pat LiaKos of Curtis, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brothers: Shibble Maloley of Lexington, Nebraska; Faud & Wanda Maloley of Lexington, Nebraska; Nimer & Margaret Maloley of Kearney, Nebraska; John & Mary Maloley of Lexington, Nebraska; Joe & Linda Maloley of Lexington, Nebraska; sisters: Sadie Malooley of Spring Valley, Illinois; Victoria Salem of Kearney, Nebraska and a host of relatives and friends.
Leenda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Toffie, Andy and Zickie Maloley and sister, Esther.
