Tenth President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Son of Joseph F. Smith, Sixth President of the Church; grandson of Hyrum Smith, Patriarch of the Church; and grandnephew of President Joseph Smith Jr.
President Heber J. Grant called him "the best posted man on the scriptures of the General Authorities of the Church that we have."
