Dorothea Marie (Mycroft) Morrison, 72, of 125 Silver Birch Road, retired vice president and treasurer of the former Auvergne et Cie perfume distributor in East Longmeadow, died Friday in Mease Countryside Hospital in Clearwater, Fla. She retired in 1989.
She was previously employed for the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C.
Born in Providence, R.I., she lived in Springfield for many years before moving to Longmeadow over 30 years ago. She was a graduate of the former St. Xavier Academy in Providence, R.I., and she attended American International College in Springfield.
She was a member and past president of Quota International, and a member of Springfield's Garden Club and horticulture group. She volunteered at Baystate Medical Center Wesson Unit, and she was the corresponding secretary for the Baystate Medical Center Auxiliary Board of Directors.
She was a member of Cosmetic Career Women, and the Fragrance, Toiletries and Cosmetics Association, and she received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award from the East Longmeadow Rotary Club. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Longmeadow.
Her husband, C. Alan Morrison, died in 1978.
She leaves two sons, Kevin A. of Miami, Fla., and Paul G. of Longmeadow; a daughter, Ann D. Rebillard of Hartford, Conn.; a brother, Herbert V. Jr. of Providence; a sister, Eleanor McCabe of Cape Coral, Fla., and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday morning at T. P. Sampson Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home in Springfield, and in the church in Longmeadow, with burial in Longmeadow Cemetery . Calling hours are Tuesday afternoon and evening.
