Obituary & Life History
Reeser, Joan L. Halverson Brandt
passed away peacefully July 1, 2010. She was born in Minot ND July 5, 1933 to Arthur and Marie Halverson. The family moved to Spokane in 1936 living in Yardley. She attended Alcott and Millwood Grade schools and West Valley High School. Joan was married to Arnie Brandt from 1950 to 1960. In 1997 Joan reconnected with her first grade sweetheart Harold Reeser, whom she married. Her last job was at Riverpark Square, where she was "Grandma" and loved by all. Joan suffered from Alzheimer's for several years. She lived at Royal Park Care Center for the last three years, where she received wonderful care. Special thanks to Marty, Rhondie and Terri. Joan was well known for her sense of humor and love of her dogs. Because news of Harold's death in 2007 would unnecessarily trouble her, she never knew he had passed. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold Reeser; sister Rose Marie; brothers Alvin, Richard and Laurence. She is survived by daughter Marci (Dan) Davis; son Randy Brandt; brother Dale; grandsons Branson and Blaine; numerous nieces and nephews; and the Brandt family. Funeral services for Joan and Harold will be at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines, Spokane Valley on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joan's name to SCRAPS or the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Hi, Thought you would want to know that I was going to locate her stone and photo it for you. When looking up her lawn info., the Cemetery person told me that she is getting a stone. I will try again in a month or so. Sue
