Alexander Mingee died suddenly Sunday morning at his home in Georgetown township, south of Catlin. The deceased leaves a wife and seven children, the oldest 16 years of age. The family is in poor circumstances.
Aside from a cold Mr Mingee had been in his usual health. He was a renter on the O'Connel farm and worked gathering corn until noon Saturday when he went to the house and remained there the rest of the day. In the evening he ate a hearty supper, but soon after retiring complained of a severe pain in the chest and arms but said he was not ill enough to need the attention of a physician. Several times during the night he arose and sat up being unable to sleep. Sunday morning while his wife was making a preparation to relieve the pain he was suffering he quietly passed away. The deceased though in very poor circumstances was well known. Deputy Coroner Hall held an inquest. The verdict was that death was due to natural diseases.
