Fred Tiedt, Bremer County Native, Dies
Fred Tiedt, 73, lifelong resident of Bremer county, died Friday night at Allen Memorial hospital of cancer. He was born Aug. 23, 1875, in Bremer county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tiedt, and married Emma Koschmeder, Jan. 5, 1899, at Readlyn. They lived all of their married life on a farm just west of Readlyn.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Arthur, Waverly, and Harry, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Bartels, and Mrs. Emil Seekatz, both of Waterloo, and Mrs. George Leerhoff, Clarksille; two brothers, William and Ernest, both of Readlyn; one sitter, Mrs. Lent Lohman, Tripoli, and 11 grandchildren and three greatgrandcrildren.
Mr. Tiedt was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p. m., at the family residence, and at 2 p. m., in St. John's Lutheran church in Maxfield township Burial will be in Fairview cemetery at Denver.
