She married Joseph William Strunk on November 30, 1919. Leah was a very talented, beautiful, and charming lady. She had 8 children and two died in infancy. Her children were Georgia, Ernie, Betty, Alvin, Eddie, and Timmie. She loved her husband, children, family, and New Hampshire.
She wrote poems and a song called "Little Town, Little Folks" and it was published. She loved her children very much and even measured all their fingers and toes. She saved all her children's mementos and kept them in a cedar chest for generations to enjoy all the treasures.
