Died - At his home in this city after an illness of about a week of pneumonia, John George Armbruster, aged 86 years.

Deceased was born on the 4th day of November 1825 at Speilberg, Kingdom Wurtemberg. He served in the army during the revolution in 1846 to 1860. In 1851, he removed from his old home to Black Forest in Baden where he resided with his wife until 1886, when they came to America and settled in this city where most of their children had already made their homes. Since they came here they have resided with their youngest son John.

His wife preceded him in death about twelve years ago. Five children survive him, three sons and two daughters, one daughter residing in Germany, one in Arizona, Bernhard, Andrew, and John residing here, besides 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The funeral took place last Saturday afternoon and was largely attended, Rev. E.G. Strassburger officiating.
