Betty was born on May 21, 1928 at Owyhee Station, Ada County, Idaho. She was the fifth of six children born to Charles Monroe Bundy, Jr. and Florence Ellen Honts. Betty attended grades one through six at Olds Ferry, Idaho. She started the seventh grade in Parma, but finished that year as well as the 8th grade year in Weiser, ID, graduating from Weiser Junior High School in 1942. When Betty was 15 years old, she went to work at the basket factory in Weiser. There, she had the job of pulling lumber off the assembly line. She worked there for several months until the factory closed. She then went to work at the Weiser Baker, wrapping bread, cakes, etc. A few months later, she got a job as a waitress at Shell's Café. She worked there for about a year, then got the job as fry cook at the Crescent Bar and Café. She worked with Bertha Weldon at the Crescent. When customers ordered brain and eggs, Betty made Bertha cook them. Betty had only worked at the Crescent for a short time when she quit and took a waitressing job at the Smokehouse Café. While working at the Smokehouse, she met James "Frank" Larsen. They were married on December 4, 1948 at the home of some friends in Weiser. Betty and Frank were divorced in 1978. She got a job at the Pioneer Nursing Home in Vale, working in the laundry room. She started out working only four hours a day. After about six weeks, because she was such a good worker, they hired her on full time. In fact, they put her in charge of the laundry department. She worked there for 15 years and one month. She retired in 1989, following back surgery. On November 7, 1986, she married William "Ray" Edmondson. Following their marriage, they lived in Vale. They were very happy, but this marriage also ended in divorce. Betty had some health problems, but she was a fighter and made it through many difficult times. This time, however, there were just too many obstacles in her path. On the evening of April 23, 2007 Betty's heart gave out and she left this world to return to the arms of her family who had passed before her.

Betty is survived by three sons, Ron Larsen (Terry) of Council, ID, Bruce Larsen of Vale, OR, and Norman Larsen (Linda) of Marysville, WA; three daughters, Vicki Jacoby of Ontario, OR, Barbara Sommer of Vale, OR and Nancy Whitaker (Stanley) of Homedale, ID; 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Arbogast, her grandson, Jody Larsen, her parents, and her brothers and sisters. Betty was a wonderful person who enjoyed life and loved being with her family. She will be deeply missed.
