"Samuel H. Nordhausen"
Funeral services for Samuel H. Nordhausen, 69, of 1215 Main in Richmond, were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday from the Garmany & Company Chapel of Richmond, with the Rev. R. H. Cahoon, Jr. officiating.
Mr. Nordhausen passed away at 10:00 a.m. Monday in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was a native of Richmond and had lived there most of his life. He was a shop foreman for the Independent Exploration Company of Houston until his retirement in 1958. For one and a half years, he was with the Gless Equipment Company of Richmond. He was also past president of the Gulf Coast Firemen's Association, an ex-Fire Chief, and a member of the Morton Masonic Lodge, No. 72 AF & AM.
Included among his survivors are his wife, Mrs. Hettie Nordhausen of Richmond; one brother, Edmund of Tampa, Florida; one sister, Mrs. J. W. George of Houston; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Sheldon H. Bergeron, Walter Gless, A. J. Stern, John Lundell, Manford Williams, Paul Elkins, Clifford Myska, and Stanley Decker. Honorary pallbearers were J. H. Farmer, A. E. Myers, Dyer Moore, G. D. Birdwell, E. M. Huggins, P. E. Pearson, Frank Miculek and Otto Gaskamp.
Interment was in the Morton Cemetery, arrangements under the direction of Garmany & Company Funeral Directors of Richmond. * * *
