OBITUARY: St. Louis - Funeral mass for Lawrence G. Ferschweiler, 72, St. Louis area farmer who died Wednesday night, Sept. 22, in a Portland hospital, was held Saturday morning at St. Louis Catholic church. Interment followed at St. Louis cemetery, under direction of Ringo-Cornwell Funeral Home, Woodburn. Recitation of the Rosary was Friday evening at the church.

The farm residence was Gervais route 1, Box 254. Mr. Ferschweiler who was born here, was a member of St. Louis Catholic church and active in parish affairs. He was married in 1917 to Marie Rubens, who survives.

Also surviving are daughters Mrs. Rosemary Hammar of North Bend, Mrs. Doris Davidson of St. Paul and Sister Mary Laureen of Portland; sons, Thomas, of Portland and Lloyd and Cyril both of St. Louis; sisters, Mrs. Agnes Forcier of Woodburn, and Mrs. Philip Chenette of Portland; brother, Mike of Seattle, and 29 grandchildren.
