Ernesteen "Teen" Mitchell, age 85 of 581 NC Hwy 16 S, Taylorsville, passed away Tuesday November 30, 2010 at Valley Nursing Center, after an extended illness. She was born March 16, 1925 in Alexander County to the late Clay Harrington and Mammie Lee Kerley Harrington. Mrs. Mitchell worked at Schneider Mills and Holly Farms. She was also a member of Three Forks Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mitchell; three brothers, William A. Harrington, Crafton Harrington, and J. B. Harrington; one sister, Irene Jones.

She is survived by her two sons, Benny Mitchell and wife Melissa "Tia" of Taylorsville, Freddy Mitchell and special friend, Roxanne Wyatt of Bethlehem; one daughter, Jo Mitchell of Taylorsville; one brother, Harvey Harrington and wife Maxine of Taylorsville; four sisters, Shirley Brown, Mary Milstead, Mildred Faye "Bunnie" Harrington and husband Harold, all of Taylorsville, Jeannie Cropley and husband Jack of Gresham, OR; three grandchildren, Byron Mitchell and wife Haley, Justin Mitchell, Jordan Mitchell; two great grandchildren, Macey Mitchell and Luke Mitchell all of Taylorsville.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00pm Wednesday December 1, 2010 at Three Forks Baptist Church. Rev. Carson Mosley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00pm prior to the funeral service at the church.
