He worked and retired at Kraft Foods in Garland; operated the Texaco Stations in Princeton and McKinney, ran the Shell Stations in McKinney under Joe Bob Young, ran the Fina Station in McKinney, and ran the Hi-Lo Station in McKinney.
He died from complications with C.O.P.D. at the Homestead Nursing Home in McKinney, Texas, with five of his seven children by his side.
Survived by his children: Roy Gale Lorance, Garland; Gary Lee Lorance, Tioga; Larry E. Lorance, Rowlett; Dorothy June Lorance Gibson, Leonard; Joe Dale Lorance, San Antonio; David Lynn Lorance, Plano; George Alby (Chuck) Lorance, Bells. And one sister, Wanda Jo Crump, McKinney.
Son of George Alby (Chuck) Lorance and Bessie Lee McPeak, whom preceeded him in death. Also preceeding him were brothers, Eulas Lorance, Gilbert Lorance; sisters Mildred Faye Davis, Louella Wallis; one grandson, Eric Lorance.
