John Martin Aschwege was born near Chapman, Nebr., September 24, 1898. He passed away at his home following a heart attack June 22, 1956, at the age of 57 years and 9 months.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith.

Mr. Aschwege grew to young manhood in the Palmer community, living on the same farm with the exception of a few years spent in California and South Dakota.

John was united in marriage to Hertha Jurgens, December 22, 1931 at DeSmet, S. D., and since that time has resided on his farm near Palmer.

He is survived by his wife and three sisters, Sophia, (Mrs. Art Ueckert) of Grand Island, Mildred (Mrs. Carl Meyer) of Burbank, Calif., and Martha (Mrs. Ted Meyer) of Burbank, Calif; three nieces and one nephew and also a number of other relatives and friends.

His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
