The funeral of Mrs. Dietrich Aschwege was held yesterday afternoon at the German Methodist church, four miles northeast of Worms. Rev. Gaffert, the pastor at the church, conducted the English services and Rev. Schultz, a German pastor residing in the vicinity of Hastings, had charge of the German services. A very large number of friends from the neighboring country attended the funeral, and the coffin was banked with a wealth of floral tributes. Interment was made in the churchyard cemetery.

Mrs. Dietrich Aschwege (sic), age 35 years, 4 months and 7 days, died at the General hospital last evening, the cause of death being nubolus in the brain. She was born in Merrick county, this state, and until the time of her sickness resided in the vicinity of Archer. Her maiden name was Lilly Scheibe, her parents being residents of this city. About two weeks ago she underwent an operation for her affliction and since that time has been recovering nicely. Yesterday morning she joked with the nurse and declared her intention of leaving the hospital on the same day, but late in the afternoon her condition suddenly became worse, and she passed away before many hours had elapsed. The deceased was preceded in death by one son. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, three daughters, her parents, two sisters and one brother. All the relatives are expected to arrive in the city for the time of the funeral, which will take place tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock at the German Methodist church in the vicinity of Archer.
