Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at China Spring, where he grew up and attended school. He married Louise Sheppard in November 1938; she died Nov. 4, 1991. Mr. Pierce lived in Arlington for several years and was superintendent of production for TEMCO. In 1958, he moved to Rockport, where he owned and operated a motel until his retirement in 1972. He returned to China Spring in 1972. Mr. Pierce was a member of First Baptist Church of China Spring and the Masonic Lodge.
Surviors include a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Judith) Reneau of Waco and two grandchildren.
