WISHEK -- Henry Gall Jr., 84, Wishek, died May 28, 1999, in the Wishek nursing home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at United Church of Christ, Wishek, with the Revs. Tammy Toepke-Floyd and Marty Toepke-Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Wishek City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are all grandchildren and honorary pallbearers are all great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, and 1-8 p.m. Sunday, both at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Henry was born Nov. 28, 1914, at Wishek, the son of Henry and Katherine (Sayler) Gall Sr. He was raised on the family farm northwest of Wishek and received his education in rural McIntosh County schools. Following his education, he continued to live and farm with his parents. Henry was married to Hertha Ketterling on Aug. 21, 1938, at Wishek. Following their marriage, they resided on the Gall family farm where they lived and farmed. In 1941, they purchased the family farm and lived and farmed there until 1965, when they moved to Wishek. Henry owned and operated the local Mobil Bulk Oil Dealership from 1965 to 1978, when he retired. They sold their farm in 1995. Henry also worked for Nickisch Funeral Home for four years.

Henry was a member of the United Church of Christ at Wishek. He served his church by holding numerous church offices, he served as church organist for 42 years and sang in the church choir and men's quartet. Henry served on the original Board of Director's for the Wishek Community Hospital and was a member of the Wishek Association of Commerce. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his kindness and generosity, and for his love of music.

He is survived by his wife, Hertha; five daughters, Henrietta (Clarence) Fiechtner, Fargo, Donna (Harvey) Miller, Wyndemere, Marlys (Tom) Kienzle, Mandan, JoAnn Gall, Belle Fourche, S.D., and Ann Marie Krein, Irving, Texas; one son, James H. Gall, Tucson, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Martha Wieczorck, Yankton, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Fred, Adolph and Theophil; one sister, Lydia Bettenhausen; one great-grandson, Howie J. Schill; and one brother and three sisters who died in infancy.
