Ruth A. Elicker

YORK -- Ruth Amelia (Laughman) Elicker, 76, of York, died at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Harry M. Elicker. The couple observed their 55th wedding anniversary Aug. 2.
The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church, 29 S. George St., York. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. The Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Elicker was born Nov. 13, 1920, in York New Salem. She was the daughter of the late Melvin T. and Edna V. (Hoff) Laughman.
She was a communications operator for the Pennsylvania State Police Department York Barracks for 20 years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and American Association of Retired Persons of York.
Mrs. Elicker is survived by a son, Theodore H. Elicker of York; a daughter, Linda E. Kenee of York; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Avis I. Smith of Spring Grove.
Officiating at the service will be her pastors, the Rev. Leonard R. Klein and the Rev. William C. Snyder.
