James E. ‘Bimbo Quillen, 57, went to be with the Lord April 4, 2009. He was born October 19, 1951 to E. B. and Nina Elliott Quillen. He was employed by Brock Company and Kingsport Press. He was the former owner of Family Video in Church Ill and Video City in Mount Carmel. James was of the Baptist faith. He loved farming, cattle, camping and helping anyone whom he felt needed a helping hand.
James is survived by his wife, Jackie Qullen; his step-son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Whitney Stidham; mother-in-law, Loretta Merritt; sisters and brothers in law – Linda and Alvin Clark, Lois and Gale Kleebler, Marilyn Cole; brother and sister in law, Jeff and Susanne Quillen;; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Jerry Hughes, Tonya and David Bowles; nephew – Kevin and Erica Estep; nieces, Marlene Castle, Sara Grace Quillen, Phelia Edmonson and Emily Bowles; great nieces, Heather Castle and Madison Grace Green; great nephews, Ethan and Luke Estep and many loved one and dear friends.
Services were held at the Colonial Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff DeBoard and the Rev. mark Estep officiating. Music was provided by Mildred Dougherty and the Lee Smith Singers. Interment was held in the Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA.
