Born "Axilius" Schratzenstaller, but always called Albert. Came to US 20 June 1890, on the ship Waesland, with his fiance, Frances Ebenhoch, whom he married at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Akron on 13 October 1890. They later separated. Father of Sarah Salyerds, Albert Jr., Wallie Weigel, Jewell Schordoch, Elizabeth VanPeenen and Frances Jung.
Akron Beacon Journal, 20 January 1930:
"Albert Schratzenstaller, age 72 years, died Saturday p.m. Survived by wife Frances, five daughters and one son. Temporary interment in Sweeny Bros. Crypt."
