Lena Rachel Gardner was the fifth child of seven children born to Nathan Gardner and Lucy Ann Johnson Gardner. She married Lennie Sauls. The family had a girl and a boy; Edna and Exum Sauls, both married gave her a total of nine grand children. Racheal and Lennie were later divorced and some years later she married Spencer Harris, who passed away in 1945. Rachael's third husband, William A. "Bill" Betts died in 1968.
