When Samuel died, Cynthia married Jesse Landrum Jolley 3 April 1862 in Cleveland, No. Carolina. Jesse died a year later on 3 May 1863 at Chancellorville, Va.
She fled with her children to Tennessee, where daughter Priscilla and her husband had fled, and married James Roberson, a farmer, 3 Sept 1868. He died before 1880 and she took the boys to Jackson, Callaway, Missouri where daughter Priscilla and Wm. Albert Roberts had recently re-settled and where Priscilla had just been widowed. Cynthia was near her grandchildren and the two families supported one another.
Cynthia's fourth marriage was to Johnson Bane a widower, Dec 28, 1880 in Callaway County, Missouri and he died 2 years later in 1882. She spent her last years with sons James and Robert on their farm in Missouri. She was 81
years old when she died.
