|Death: ||Dec. 19, 1876|
According to the transcription I am working with, he died at the age of 80.
He settled in the area in 1832.
"John Barber came also from Vermont, and settled near Barber's Corners. He had twin sons, whose names were Francis and Franklin; the latter lives now on the old homestead, a prosperous farmer and the picture of health and vigor. The father died a few years ago, after having been confined to his bed for nearly twenty years from rheumatism, and for several years had been blind and incapable of feeding himself."
