Both amiable promising youths; could the tears and tender affections of parents, brothers and sisters, have retained them, could the skill of physicians have healed them, they would still have been amongst the living.—But the wise, holy and sovereign disposer of all events, has seen fit to cut short their days; thereby giving to parents an instructive lesson that their dearest comforts in life are transitory and uncertain; and a solemn warning to the youth while in health to prepare for death.—At the funeral of the last a sermon was preached by the Rev. Peter Starr, from Job 19, 21."
