Madonna S. LaFleche died at home surrounded by family.
She graduated from Williamstown High School in 1960. Later in life she obtained her associate degree from Johnson State College.
On July 16, 1960, she married Robert R. LaFleche of Graniteville and they resided in Barre and later Graniteville. They were later divorced.
During her remaining years she resided in Barre. She worked for the Central Vermont Head Start Program and then took a position with Central Vermont Community Action Council. She also spearheaded various educational seminars for low-income senior citizens' organizations. She worked at CVCAC for 26 years until her illness forced her to retire in 2003.
She is survived by her four children, David and his fiancÚ Cindy Richards of Graniteville, Mark and Sue (Marquis) of Williamstown, Milissa LaFleche of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Eric and Robin (Hood) of Spencer, Mass.
A memorial service was held July 28 at the Universalist Church, 19 Church St., Barre.
Place of burial was not stated in the obit, but Hope in Barre would be the logical place. Lived, worked and worshipped in Barre City.
