Playwright, Motion Picture Director. He won two Academy Awards for his work as director and original screenwriter for the 1949 motion picture "A Letter to Three Wives". In 1951 he repeated the feat for the 1950 film "All About Eve", winning Best Director and Best original screenplay Oscars for his work.
