Funeral services for Mr. Lewis R. Davidson, Sr., 75, of Okolona Community in Overton County, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with Bro. Eugene McCowan and Bro. Bobby Roberts officiating.

Burial was in Okolona Cemetery.

Mr. Davidson died Thursday, June 17, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

Born February 13, 1935 in Gainesboro, TN, he was the son of the late Hiram and Avo (Stafford) Davidson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife, Mattie Davidson; 2 brothers, Richard Davidson and Harvey Henson; 4 sisters, Pauline Abby, Betty Stocks, Mable Wilhite, and Lucy Johnson; a stepson, Donnie Smith; 2 grandchildren, Angie Franklin and Jonathan Garrison.

Survivors include his wife, Bertie (Harris) Davidson; 3 sons, Lewis Davidson, James Davidson and his fiancee, Nola, and Chuck Davidson; a stepson, Ronnie Smith and his wife, Kathy; 3 daughters, Edna Franklin, Kathy Davidson, and Jennifer Lafever; a stepdaughter-in-law, Nora Smith; 4 brothers, Elmer Davidson, Charles Davidson, Bobby Davidson, and Jerry Davidson; a sister, Vickie Scott; 12 grandchildren, Dwaine Franklin, Amy Franklin, Laura Willingham, D.J. Willingham, Mattie Davidson, Tabitha Davidson, Heather Aguilar, Brandon Davidson, Jay Paul, Ashley Lowson, Tristin Lafever, Jasmine Lafever; 5 great-grandchildren, Tyler Harris, Halie Willingham, Maddie Willingham, Emmalee Willingham, and Laura Aguilar; 3 step-grandchildren, Lisa, Kenny, and Kevin.

Pallbearers were Mike Clark, Mike Boswell, Dwaine Franklin, Wayne Abbey, Edmond Wallace, Richard Harris, Kenny Smith, and Kevin Smith.

Honorary pallbearers were Carl Barlow and Willis Wilson.
