CENTERVILLE — A visitation will be held all day today at Lange Funeral Funeral Home, with the family present from 6-8 p.m.
Mark W. Baugher, 42, of Centerville, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at the Centerville Nursing and Rehab Center in Centerville.
He was born Dec. 7, 1967 in Centerville, the son of Chester and Mary (Manganello) Baugher. Mark grew up in Centerville and graduated from Centerville High School. He married Stacey Garr on Jan. 26, 1991 at the Nazarene Church in Centerville.
After graduating from Centerville High School, Mark relocated to Omaha, Neb. He first worked in a meatpacking plant in Omaha. He later found employment in the pest control field.
Following 10 years in the Omaha, Neb. area, Mark and Stacey made the decision to move back to Centerville to be near family and friends. Mark worked for Kness Manufacturing in Albia until his retirement.
Mark enjoyed life outside of work. When he was not spending time with family and friends, Mark enjoyed metal detecting. He also enjoyed studying American history, especially the Civil War era. His enthusiasm for history led him to being a past board member of the Appanoose County Historical Society. Mark loved listening to all genres of music, but his passion was rock and roll. He also enjoyed driving his jeep.
Mark is survived by his wife Stacey Baugher of Centerville; two sons, Dylan and Skyler Baugher of Centerville; a brother John Baugher of Centerville; and three sisters, Loraetta (Bill) Tolles of Rose Hill, Rosemary Melsa of Centerville, and Joann Cravens of Centerville.
He was preceded in death by his father Chester Baugher; and two sisters, Sally Jane Baugher and Bonnie Buban.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Walter King officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. A visitation will be held all day today at Lange Funeral Funeral Home, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the family's name and may be left at or mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
