William Henry Woodward, who would have reached his 67th birthday on the 20th of next March, died on Saturday at his home near Grace Lutheran Church in the Ida neighborhood.

The deceased was the son of the late John M. and Kate Woodward and was born in the Ida section. For many years he has been a prominent member of the Church of the Brethren of the Ida Grove Church. He was highly esteemed and revered by all who knew him. The deceased had been in ill health for a number of years from a complication of diseases but was able to be up until a few days ago.

Mr. Woodward is survived by his widow who was formerly Miss Virginia Richards, daughter of Joseph Richards of the Ida section.

He was twice married his first wife being a daughter of the late Isaac Somers also of the Ida section.

The surviving children are Mrs. Wade May, an employee of the Treasury Department of Washington, D.C, Mrs. Daniel Miller of Clarendon, Virginia and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. B.F. Jenkins of Ida; Mrs. Gertie Hoak, Augusta county; Mrs. Rupert C. Broyles, Luray; Mrs. W.H. Somers, Ida; Mrs. Minnie Hasse of Richmond; Mrs. David Somers, Fauquier; and D.M. Woodward of Rocky Ridge, Md.

The funeral was held from his late home on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Revs. A.J. Caricofe and H.E. Wakeman in charge of the services.

Interment in the family burial plot nearby.
