My mother was the 7th of 14 children born to the late Jose & Mary (Vieira) Cordeiro. Beloved mother to Carol. Sister of the late Americo, Michael, & Narcizo Cordeiro. Former wife of the late Charles Harriman. Survived by her only child Carol, brother Joseph, sisters Agnes, Anna, Dorothy, Ezilda, Helen, Laura, Margarita, Mary, Theresa, & three generations of nieces & nephews.
Mom was a very hard worker & did what ever it took to support me & later herself after her divorce. She loved the Red Sox, animals,(especially cats) playing Bingo, music, playing cards, watching soap operas, going to Casinos, and traveling. Her dream vacation was when she went to Hawaii for 2 weeks & got to meet Don Ho & had her picture taken with him.
She had a great sense of humor, and loved to make people laugh. She is well remembered for her hearty laughter & beautiful smile.
My mother had Alzheimers Disease & was a diabetic. I cared for her in my home & the hardest thing for me was the day she didn't know me anymore. That really broke my heart & I cried alot. She passed in her sleep at home. She is deeply loved & greatly missed. My Mother was all I really had & when my Mother died a big part of me went with her. There's a empty spot in my heart that nobody else can ever fill.

Im Memory Of Angel Mothers
She sails upon the clouds of blue
Within her favorite color
She is my angel up above
My sweet and loving mother
Still watching over me
Every day and every night
Sending my heart wonderful memories
Filled with love to always shine
To ease the pain of missing her
Within this heart of mine
I reminisce of her often
Of all her gentle ways. . . to always be
When a new day comes around
I feel blessed God choose her for me
And yes, there are times
I shed my lonely tears
Thinking of her up above
Wishing she were near
But how can I be sad for long?
Knowing where she dwells
For it is Heaven she now calls her home
No more pain or worry. . . in her days
No tears to fill her eyes
No heartache or sickness to ever touch her
Where the sun always beautifully shines
So on this day I'll celebrate
Because once she was my own
The sweetest Mother in the world
This daughter has ever known
So as I visit her this day
Among the markers I'll make my way
I'll lay the pretty bouquet beside her
My respects, I will lovingly pay
Knowing in my heart
We will be together someday
While here I will close my eyes
I will dream of her sweet embrace
As I wish for her all God's Heavenly Grace.

A Daughter's Dream
a poem by Willo Rain
I had a dream the other day,
And afterwards I had to pray.
I prayed "Dear Lord, Please help me through,
And make this dream be real and true."
See...Mama's sick and she forgets,
At times she says we've never met.
I care for Mama night and day,
I try my best in every way.
With each new dawn, it seems to me,
She loses more of her memory.
It's sad to see when Mama cries,
I hold her close and dry her eyes.
The dream I had, I wish were true,
That's why Dear Lord I've come to you.
In my dream a perfect rose,
Was in the hand of a woman posed.
Then...I saw her walking near,
Her eye's were bright and crystal clear.
Her mind was sharp, her smile bright,
She had a glow...a 'Shining Light.'
Loving words rolled from her tongue,
The one's I knew when I was young.
She held me in a long embrace,
As tears of Joy rolled down my face.
It was my Mama gleamed in wealth,
For You had given her good health.
The Alz. Disease that robes her mind,
Was gone because You love mankind.
That's when I thought, was this a dream?
And my tears began to stream.
Because you let me have a look,
At things You promise in Your Book.
So, now I know this 'dream' IS true,
It's all I need to get me through.
When times get tough, I'll hold her hand,
I'll try to help her understand.
That when she comes to live with You,
You will restore the Mom I knew...
