GREENE, RAYMOND BOB (R.B.),
age 88, of White Pine, passed away Jan. 11, 2007 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was born Sept. 3, 1918 in Haywood County, N.C. He was an active member of First Baptist Church since 1955, where he was an active trustee, on the building committee and a Sunday School teacher for many years. He was the owner of Tennessee Well Supply and Greene?s Auto Parts of White Pine. An avid deer and turkey hunter, he also raised Charolais cattle for many years on his farm. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Stuart Greene; daughter, Margaret; parents, Robert and Dorsey Fisher Greene; brothers, Carl, Boyce; sisters, Ulalah Rogers, Hazel Johnson, Artie Yarborough; sons-in-law Charles Taylor, Buford Taylor, George (E.G. Baxter; stepson, Tracy Walker; and his special buddy, "Heavy." He is survived by his wife, Faye Walker; daughters, Jean Taylor, Doris Taylor, Vivian Baxter and Becky (Robert) Wallace; step-children, Linda (E.M.) Rogers and Amber (David) Walker; grandchildren, Sonia, Ramona, Serita, Russell, Stephanie, Stuart, Regina, Shannon, Elaine, Chad, Dustin and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Brandy, Heather, Michael, April, Ashley, Josh, Jessica, Rachel, Erin, Victoria, Aly, Jenna R., Caleb, Ryan, Rhett, Jenna B., and Reese; great-great-grandson, Jonah; brother, Luther; sisters, Blanche Reed, Opal (Clayton) Mann; sister-in-law, Alene Greene; brothers-in-law, Norman (Ethel), Roy (Viola) and R.W. (Naomi) Stuart; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007 at First Baptist Church of White Pine with the Rev. Earl Wilson, the Rev. Jerry DeZearn, the Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and the Rev. Brian Osborne officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 590, White Pine, Tenn. 37890, or your favorite charity. The family will be at the family home at 1104 Sharps Road, White Pine. Arrangements by Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine.
