Virginia May Mundell-Ulmer, 85, Yakima, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Galena, Kansas on February 26, 1925 to Jennings Coyle and Ruth L. (Davis) Coyle. She was married to Harlen A. Mundell on June 2, 1946 in S.E. Kansas and later moved to California. She moved from California to Yakima in 1954 and eight years later moved to Prosser, W A. She received her Bachelor's degree and fifth year from Central Washington University in Ellensburg. Her husband, Harlan Mundell died in 1972. She married Francis Ulmer on October 25, 1997 in Grandview, WA.

Virginia was an elementary school teacher in the Prosser School District for many years before retiring.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Prosser and after moving to Yakima in 1973, she was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Her Hobbies included music, reading, church activities and keeping in touch with close friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary (William) Hunsperger of S. Prairie, W A; two sons, Dale Mundell of Yakima; and Harlen (Denise) Mundell Jr. of Spokane, WA; a step son, Glen Ulmer of Portland, OR and step daughter, Francis Hileman of San Jose, CA; 13 grandchildren; 11-great grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Neil J. Coyle of Pueblo, CO and John P. Coyle of Grove, OK and a sister, Thelma Hill of Turlock, CA.

Besides her first husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Ulmer in 2003.

Graveside services will be held 4:00 pm, Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Lowell Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt's Baxter Chapel.
