Mayfield, John D. "J.D.", age 24, of New Martinsville, WV, died Monday, November 1, 2010, in Clarksburg, WV, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born October 8, 1986 in Wheeling, WV.
J.D. was a corrections officer at the Northern Regional Jail; a 2005 graduate of Magnolia High School; and a Protestant by faith.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Steven Anthony Mayfield; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Hailey Mayfield, whom he married on October 25, 2008; his father, Darrell (Betty) Mayfield and his mother, Tina (Robert) Duke, both of New Martinsville; a daughter, Reagen Mayfield of the home; a sister, Elizabeth (Joe) Smith; and a brother, Daniel (Heather) Mayfield, both of New Martinsville; his father and mother-in-law, Jody and Cindy Albright of Duffy, Ohio; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brooke and Brennon Albright of the home; two nephews, Bain and Jacob; and two nieces, Evelyn and Chloe.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm and also on Friday from 12pm until time of funeral service at 1:00pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville, with Pastor Larry Dale officiating.
Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park, New Martinsville.
