Mrs. Joseph Leech, who has been an invalid for several months, died [text mising] the time to her bed. At times she suffered terribly, and may times it was thought she could not possibly survive another attack, but she lingered until October 12, when she passed peacefully to the beyond.
Elizabeth Hunter Jerrow was born June 15, 1853 in County Antrim, Ireland. At the age of 16 she came to America, locating in Putnam county, where she has since resided. She was united in marriage with Joseph Leech, March 15, 1876. To them were born three children, Katie, Thomas and Mamie, whom she has seen reach the age of man and womanhood. She also leave two grandchildren, Fern and George, daughter and son of George and Katie McCain. She was a kind and indulgent mother.
Funeral services were held in the Congregational church last Sunday at 2 o'clock p.m., conducted by Rev. D. S. Andrewartha, after which the remains were laid to rest in Riverside cemetery. The funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends, who, by their presence, testified to the esteem in which deceased was held by all.
