Named after Confederate General John Horace Forney of Jacksonville, AL whom his father greatly admired. Died from typhoid fever which was most often fatal due to dehydration caused by diarrhea. He probably acquired it from eating contaminated food or drinking contaminated water. If IV fluid could have been administered he most likely could have survived to die at another time. At the time of his death he didn't know that his wife was pregnant. He had taken out a life insurance policy which provided his wife and daughter with a means of support for many years. The other Treadaway family members also helped his family when they needed help.
