Harold Knapp, 68, of Granger died of a heart attack Thursday at home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Knapp was born in Des Moines and lived in Granger since 1972. He was a home builder and a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Acanthus Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Bob of Johnston; two daughters, Deb Frisk of Granger and Kathy; a brother, Howard of North Carolina; six sisters, Margaret Miller, Gloria Carder, Lucille Woodyard, Pauline Porter and Louis Woods, all of Des Moines, and Carol Roberts of Minneapolis; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Brian Knapp Memorial Fund at Blank Children's Hospital. Arrangements are being handled by Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
