Buel Salisbury, well known by many of our citizens died at his home in Otsego, Mich, Tuesday, and the funeral will be held Friday afternoon in Otsego. Rev. John Hartman of this place, will conduct the services.

He was a brother of the late Mrs John Kilmer and Mrs John Weldy.

Buel J Salsbury, son of Mr and Mrs Luther Salsbury, was born in Wakarusa, April 25, 1861. He was the oldest of a family of ten children. Their mother died when he was fourteen years old.

He has been in failing health for more than a year and ten days ago he took his bed and on April 17, passed away at his home. He came to Otsego about 50 years ago. On July 15, 1886, he was married to Dora M Worthly of Otsego.

To this union were born three children, Mrs Mabel Berry of Kalamazoo, Mich, Buel Jr, at home and Mrs Marcia Allen of Bitley, Mich.

On August 14, 1890, he was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in Otsego Lodge No 78, and on the 19th day of December, 1930, in consideration of his long distinguished services rendered to the craft, his lodge honored him with a life membership. Later he became a member of the Plainwell Chapter and Kalamazoo Council. He was also a member of the K P Lodge of Otsego for about 44 years.

He leaves to mourn his passing a widow, 3 children, two grandchildren, Robert Berry and Roger Rex Allen, 2 brothers, Owen of Reno, Nev, and Eligah of Albion, Pennsylvania, one sister, Mrs Eunice Saville of Detroit, Mich, and a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral services were in charge of Rev J M Hartman of Wakarusa, Ind, with burial in the Otsego cemetery in charge of the Masonic Order of Otsego.

Those attending the funeral of Buel Salsbury from Wakarusa, were John Weldy, Rev and Mrs John Hartman, David Herrington, Mr and Mrs Harley Hunsberger, Mr and Mrs Martin Ferguson.
